2005 WABDL Great Northern Bench Press and Deadlift

This is me lifting more than my current World record in WABDL --but I lifted it RIGHT into the rack-hovering -not touching but still illegal so my strength was thwarted by my lack of coordination... I got a 490 opener on the boards to win the 61-67 best lifters award !

| NO not ME again....This is 365 pound Super heavy Don James who wanted my Bench record ...luckily for me he didn't get it today but he will soon..My idea is to do 523 or 529 at SHVY to buy myself some time !

| Nancy Carpenter was a study of concentration as she prepared to break the WABDL Canadian National Bench press record in the 47-53 165 pound class with a lift of 176 pounds !!

| Here she is at award time winning a 2nd out of 3 in this prestigious meet ! her award was a beautiful sculpture of Atlas holding the world on his back !! --I sometimes think Nancy came in 2nd on purpose to win THAT award (first was a big beautiful cup--Nancy has CUPS )

| Here's an old pal of mine William (Mike) Pontius who has a great deadlift and was great on and off the platform on this day...he was coaching his young son in his powerlifting debut ...William and I used to compete in meets way back in the 90's together under the ADFPA and CDFPA banners !!
