2006 CPU Canadian Nationals Chilliwack BC
I popped 501 up twice but the judges found flaws in the lift ... No World record this year...
but I did qualify for the IPF World Masters in Killeen Texas..and got a "gold" for my token lifts in the 3 lift ...I did get a 480 bench passed...FUBAR !!

Shawn O'Halloran benched 639 to win The Best Bencher Award on Sunday !

| Here Sean Brown, one of Canada's finest lifters benches... later he had a BIG mishap with a 541 pound bar and required surgery in hospital...the packed house had Sean in their prayers and when he returned..patched up.. he was given a standing ovation!

Hal Mullholland was best lifter over 60...he broke the world record in the deadlift !

| Colin Bonneau Broke the World record with a 519 bench ...Colin put up a fine 3 lift total on Saturday but Bombed while lifting 529 on Sunday and having it turned down....in the bench only meet 48% of attempted lifts were failed.

Big Mike Armstrong hit 501 successfully for a Canadian record....Congratulations Mike, an ex president of the CPU and tireless computer operator at meets..web site designer..record coordinator and announcer at this contest and he still has time to break bench records !

| Here Rosilin Hanna receives her gold--Nancy Carpenter and Jane Smith are the 75 K class medalists-- and Nancy receives her silver from Joe Stockinger a great judge who deadlifted 441 at age 76 for a World record !

Bill Nickoli sets up for a heavy RAW squat...Bill Hurt himself in the bench and didnt continue in the 3 lift--but came back for a RAW bench on Sunday and got silver !! He totaled BIG in February ! --Bill took a movie of my World record attempt on Sunday here is a MOV. file of that stroke...Thanks Bill !!
