Oh Yeah all Robo needs is ANOTHER IPF World record certificate !!

This time I broke the World Record " 3 lift bench press " record by 15 kilos and put together a little more than token 650 KG total --On Sunday in the Bench only meet-- I put up 507 pounds BUT clearly didn't pause the weight --so no 2nd WR for me...I want to thank John Kirkbride-Bob Bradshaw and the Great Sean Brown for help with my shirt on these 2 days of lifting !

Here is a photo of Sean Brown Benching --Sean is One of Canada's best lifters ever it was an honor to have his help on Sunday !

Here is another Shawn...Shawn O'Halloran...who rewrote the masters 1 IPF World record book with numbers like a 729 pound squat--a 628 bench and a 1962 total --He won the athlete of the year award !-MORE Shawn !

On the way to a World Record--Shawn is ready !!

A great effort by Mr. O'Halloran on the terrific CPU National's stage.. provided for us by Jimmy Hall and the Alberta team...The Biggest CPU National's ever !!! Thank You Alberta !

Lee Ann Dalling won women's Bench Press athlete of the year with a stellar 87.5 KILO bench for a record on a 4th attempt --Lee Ann is in the 52 kg class-- (her bench is 192 in pounds) --Lee Ann is always one of Canada's best World IPF international competitors !

Mighty Mom Jackie Sandu got a great 436.32 Wilks points and a huge 350 KG total @ Masters one 52 KG class --what phenomenal lifting --Jackie and Lana are pictured here after being successful in bidding for the 2006 Nationals which will be in their hometown of Chilliwack !! Congratulations !!

John Kirkbride who spent most of Saturday helping me earn my IPF World bench record by adjusting my shirt and running my numbers..won first place on the Bench only on Sunday with a solid lift of 440 pounds (200 kg) There was little time for warm up on Sunday causing much confusion and some bombouts due to last minute flight shuffles...

Ross Daigle one of BC's Best benchers got caught in the last minute confusion and ended up with no lifts in the meet..Sunday's "bombers" club included the astonishing Colin Bonneau --Superman Clint Harwood--Warren Orr--Harvey Hanec and ME !!

Only 3 lifters out of 200 in Canada got World Records at the Nationals ( Shawn O' Halloran and I were 2 of them ) But no one could deserve the record more than Hal Mulholland who made his World IPF mark with a sensational 265 KG Deadlift (584 pounds) at sixty years plus !! Astounding !!! -- I know 20 year old kids that would die for a pull like that !!! Then on Sunday Hal helped out spotting for the Bench only meet --Whatta guy !!!!

Here's Red light Joe Stockinger one of the finest fellas you'll ever meet with Jane Smith who did great both days in the meet.. in the 3 lift she got silver with a fine 272.5 kg total in the 67.5 kg masters 1 and on Sunday she got 1st in the 'bench only' with a 155 pound lift !! --Joe recently pulled 440 pounds in the DL at 148 bodyweight and 74 years young--that got him in Powerlifting USA Magazine --this photo may get him in National Enquirer...nudge nudge..

Jeff Butt was elected president of the CPU for another term and he was also silver medalist behind Steve Powell in the 90 kg class--Jeff had a fine 702 kg total...I thank Jeff for all his help to me recently !! a fine athlete and gentleman !

The results of this great event can be had by Clicking Here for the numbers and more info on the best performances of the day !!

What's next for me?? ---getting the 500 plus bench mark back so that even 529 will come up in fine style--with no mistakes...look for it here soon !!
