| I upped the 61-67 World Masters Record to 578.5 pounds...it went up to 3 white lights, one of my smoothest lifts ever.
it's also a WABDL Canadian OPEN 308 record...I'm very elated to bump that record up...I had the help of Nancy Carpenter and Forest Hofer at the meet, to 'tug shirt'-run numbers-take pictures-coach, and lift off...in Vancouver, Bruce Everett deserves thanks for BIG training help...records are made when many people help one another for a common goal...will try the big 600 at 66...in Olympia ! (August)

| As usual, James Crawford lifted sensationally--hitting over 800 pounds in the bench.

| The Man who holds the record for the most ever in a single ply shirt Mike Womack was in Portland to attempt over 900 pounds...the audience went nuts watching these amazing weights....Mike designed the Katana shirt for Titan..my favorite shirt !

| Patrick Holloway benched over 600 pounds --then deadlifted this monster Deadlift...he owns all the Arizona state records..and runs a great meet in Phoenix each year

| Getting 12 white lights for 4 PERFECT lifts..Nancy Carpenter lifted 220 pounds (100 KG) This beats her 148 class and 165 Canadian National records by TEN KILOS...she had the worst 'COLD' in history during the meet --in making weight (146) her last 3 pounds of 'loss' was 'green stuff'--yet she broke records, won a huge statue and stuffed me into my Katana...some trooper ...some champ !

| This is what the best lifter award looked like--this amazing sword--a weapon of intermediate destruction passed thru the border into Canada--altho it appears to be made from part of a Stealth Bomber

| Forest Hofer who has an official 595 Bench handed the weight out for me on Saturday...and I owe him huge thanks--Here, I attempt to look like him by adjusting my glasses and letting the air out of my face !

| Jerry Capello a Champion Deadlifter and Powerlifting USA coverman, opened with 705..which went up like a warmup--pictured above him..Daniel Stevens lifts ! this is an amazing masters athlete+ 60 !

| Andy Medak got hurt on his opener and had to bail from the meet--he is a legend in the sport in the great Northwest !

| CSS photo design had an overhead camera and screen so the audience could see the birds eye views of the heaviest lifts !

| Two Canadian Champs, Jon Wolbers and Warren Orr...took home medals..swords..and records !!

| The meet had hundreds of exciting moments,with an audience that stayed all day and into the night --providing inspiration and support for the lifters.
