530 WABDL World Record In Seattle

In my first meet of the year I got 500 520 and 530 for a WABDL World Record bench ( 61-67 308 class) the most ever by a 64 year old man !
This was the First Annual WABDL Greater Seattle open Bench press and Deadlift...every year it will be WABDL's First contest of the year after the World's.
The Issaquah Holiday Inn is a great venue for it !

Leamon Woodley once again Amazed the house in the Deadlift..he was very close to a 700 pound lift !
of course this retired Marine took top honors at the end of the day !

| Nancy Carpenter handled 175 with ease for 1st place...once again,taking it easy because she had to help me and Jody with coaching and 'dressing' duties...she was handling 190 in the gym 2 weeks before the meet.. one week before this contest she spent the day at the BCPA Winter open volunteering with rack heights,weigh ins and coaching 2 lifters all day..Nancy is ranked 18th best master woman bencher in the All Time WABDL World standings (75kg 47-53 class)

| Jody Cranston is quite well known with his Powershape fitness training program in Vancouver ..he trains clients all day gets up at 4 in the morning and travels down to the Seattle area to represent BC..Jody won first in the Bench Press And deadlift Saturday !!

| Joe Mickelson gets his award from the legendary Bull Stewart...Joe was seen on TV in the Seattle area when the big storm hit...he was interviewed as part of a crew that was fixing BIG damage in the Bellevue area !

| Here Joe does a huge pull for the gold in his class... Mr. Mickelson is the Washington state WABDL Chairman!

| This Junior lifter was very impressive --and had a huge cheering section ! Exceptional power and form !

| There were some fine lifters in the contest who decided to wear no 'gear' there was a huge "RAW" contingent at this meet, as always when Richard Schuller and Bull Stewart put on a meet,there are many lifters of all levels of strength and experience ..and always great comaraderie and sportmanship!

At award time we got to shake hands with Bull Stewart, the Worlds all time Drug Free Strongest Man !! here Jody gets ONE of his 2 awards of the day !
