I had a good day with 3 successful attempts ending in a 507 bench...the most poundage lifted in the 54+ Masters class this day !! Look for a BIG Improvement in Portland a month from now !

| Here is Nancy with Brent Mikesell showing her award for a Canadian Record bench.

The Meet was at the Olympia Red Lion with this park like setting ..top notch views from nearly every room !

| There were some huge benches made at the meet, Gustavo Warrington of Oregon did a 633.7 World record lift..Later Eddie Aleaga 40-46 Master did a huge 688 Bench to have the top poundage of the day !

| Jody Cranston of Vancouver benched 354.7 for a Canadian Bench record.. also had a 556 Deadlift..Jody is a personal trainer and a wrist wrestling champion.

| Here is Jody's opener...he nearly pulled 573 but lost his grip !

| Joe Gast of Tacoma went all out for a world record --he lifted it ...and his foot slipped, which is an infraction of the rules so all this power will have to comeback for a rematch ..I'm guessing in Portland July 15th at the WABDL World Cup !

| Steadman Mathis only weighed 221 pounds but competed in the 242's he benched 540 !!! This guy is the PROGRESS KING in the last few years !!

| George Nelson, one of the Worlds all time Best masters Benchers made a comeback at this meet with a 501 pound bench !this was a World Record in the 60 year old 242 weight class !

| Jill Arnot from the Seattle area benched 259 in the 40-46 Masters women !

| Here is Nancy Carpenter's record beating 177 pound bench in the 47-53, 75 kg class..Nancy is always way under weight for her class limit--if she packed on a pound or 5.. her lifts would soar !

| The scorers and announcers were kept very busy with is fast paced meet ...where's waldo??...I dunno but I think I see a restless robo waiting in the wings.

| Joe Mickelson Pulled a 600 deadlift and did a 501 bench for a great lifting day!--There were some great pulls in the deadlift meet--Leamon Woodley did 688 and David Stratton did a World record 679 !

Here's Jody again part of the 3 person Canadian team ..in this meet that was mostly made up of Washington and Oregon lifters...Both Nancy and Jody helped me with my shirt at the contest...we had planned on switching into a Brand New shirt to try 529 or 534 --but my bench flight was only 9 lifters deep --not enough time to make the switch so the new world record will have to wait til Portland !
